Mt. Carmel lost to San Pasqual back in April of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Mt. Carmel came out on top in a nail-biter against San Pasqual, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sundevils have posted against the Golden Eagles since May 16, 2017.

The team relied heavily on Clara Carter, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Mt. Carmel moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for San Pasqual, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Torrey Pines on the 21st. As for San Pasqual, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on El Camino at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (San Pasqual 3, El Camino 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
