Volleyball Recap: Dreher Has No Trouble Against South Pointe

Dreher barely beat South Pointe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stallions on Thursday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Dreher's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-10.

Samiya Whitley paced Dreher's offense, picking up 13 kills. Whitley got some help from Anna Price McCormack and her 19 assists. Addison Andrews controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Dreher's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for South Pointe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Dreher has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Camden on the 14th. As for South Pointe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Rock Hill on the 13th.
