Macon's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on South Shelby with a sharp 21-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Monroe City duked it out with Highland on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Cougars 68-0. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Cougars are ranked 295th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Macon's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Monroe City, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
