Soccer Game Preview: Dutch Fork vs. Lexington

Dutch Fork hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes will head out on the road to square off against the Lexington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Dutch Fork is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Dutch Fork will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against White Knoll on Tuesday. Dutch Fork was the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over White Knoll. Given the Silver Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dutch Fork hit White Knoll with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fin Strickland (2), Max Werner, Seth Cantave, and Paxton Moore.

Meanwhile, Lexington didn't have quite enough to beat Chapin on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Dutch Fork is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five games. Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
