Football Game Preview: Twin Lakes Indians vs. West Lafayette Red Devils

Twin Lakes is 0-10 against West Lafayette since October of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Things were looking good for Twin Lakes after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 25-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton Heights. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cooper Dold, who threw for 237 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Meanwhile, West Lafayette scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 44-43 to Logansport. The Red Devils were up 20-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Twin Lakes will have to keep a close watch on Blake Biddle and Kojo Steffey, a pair of players who had a big impact on West Lafayette's prior game. Biddle threw for 182 yards and a pair of TDs, while Steffey rushed for 159 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Biddle really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.

Twin Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for West Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Twin Lakes took a serious blow against West Lafayette in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 49-21. Thankfully for the Indians, Dawson Martin (who rushed for 219 yards and three scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
