Baseball Recap: Pendleton Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

With a playoff win on the line, Pendleton rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They beat the Scappoose Indians by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Buckaroos, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Pendleton's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Scappoose, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-6.

Coming up, Pendleton will square off against Marist on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buckaroos 4, the Spartans 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Scappoose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
