Recap: Windham Bombers vs. Badger Braves
The Windham Bombers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Badger by a score of 42-40. While losing is never fun, Windham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while Badger is ranked 265th).
Badger had a senior duo take command as Katie Grexa dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds and Brianna Huscroft scored 11 points along with four steals. Grexa is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Gabriella Miller was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Badger, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.
Windham will head out on the road to square off against Chalker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chalker is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Badger, they will be playing at home against Mathews at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Mathews is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
