Volleyball Recap: Lago Vista Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Lago Vista not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jarrell Cougars. The Vikings were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

Lago Vista not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jarrell between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.

Lago Vista's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-12. As for Jarrell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Lago Vista and Jarrell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Vikings will take on St. Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on September 5 with a big rank disadvantage (627 vs. 237). Meanwhile, Jarrell (ranked 905th) will meet La Grange (ranked 420th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
