Lincoln extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 12-7 in the process. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the High Tech SD Storm 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Tuesday.

Isaiah Bartolome was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. Jesus Padilla was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as High Tech SD only posted a batting average of .276.

As for High Tech SD, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two runs.

On High Tech SD's side, Devon Caris was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Caris has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Landon Carroll made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Hoover on the 29th. As for High Tech SD, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Crawford on the 29th.
