Volleyball Recap: Manitou Springs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Manitou Springs waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Stallions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Manitou Springs was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (100-95), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 33-31, 12-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Nadia Falton paced Manitou Springs' offense, picking up 16 kills. Falton got some help from Natalie Gore and her 40 assists. Falton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Manitou Springs' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Banning Lewis Academy, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Manitou Springs is set to square off against their familiar foe Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Banning Lewis Academy will take on rival The Vanguard School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
