Basketball Game Preview: Bluffton Bobcats vs. Bishop England Battling Bishops

The Bluffton Bobcats will challenge the Bishop England Battling Bishops at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bluffton took on Colleton County on Tuesday. Bluffton strolled past Colleton County with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Cougars are ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harrison Skinner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 12 on his way to 20 points along with seven boards and six assists. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jamari Manning was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Bishop England slipped by Colleton County 54-53 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Battling Bishops.

Bishop England's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Bluffton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Bluffton was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop England in their previous matchup back in January, winning 72-59. Does Bluffton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop England turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
