Softball Recap: Bridges Prep Takes a Loss

Bridges Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 24-8 to the Edisto Cougars.

Mallorie Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Grace Smyth was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Bridges Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Edisto, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Bridges Prep will face off against Lowcountry Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bridges Prep's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lowcountry Leadership has averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. We've got a battle between Cougars coming up.
