Softball Recap: Red Springs Takes a Loss

Red Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Columbus Stallions, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Red Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Columbus, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Red Springs will head out to take on Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Springs has given up an average of 17.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for South Columbus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be South Columbus' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
