Basketball Recap: Dobie Comes Up Short

Dobie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks, falling 69-46. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 737th, while the Mavericks are ranked 263rd).

Dobie's loss dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Pasadena Memorial, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Shadow Creek the next time they take the court. Dobie will head out to face Shadow Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Pasadena Memorial will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
