Baseball Recap: East Wilkes Takes a Loss

East Wilkes and Uwharrie Charter Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but East Wilkes had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

East Wilkes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Oliver, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

East Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

East Wilkes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against North Stokes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.3, the Vikings 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
