Soccer Recap: Stem Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against KIPP Global on Friday, Stem Preparatory Academy came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Independence Academy Lions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Stem Preparatory Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Independence Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Mohammad Sharbatji wasn't going to let Independence Academy walk away unscathed as he scored both of Stem Preparatory Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Stem Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Independence Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Stem Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Valor College Prep on the 10th. As for Independence Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against LEAD Academy on the 9th.
