Softball Recap: St. Anthony's Friars vs. Xaverian Clippers
St. Anthony had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They never let the Xaverian Clippers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Friars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Not much got past Melissa Gordon, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Xaverian off the board. Gordon has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Juli Murillo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Gabriella King was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
