Santa Cruz is 9-1 against Harbor since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cardinals will welcome the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Santa Cruz and four for Harbor.

Santa Cruz managed to slip by King City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals came up short against the Mustangs on Saturday, falling 8-1.

Santa Cruz saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tezdyn Medina-Mates, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Harbor lost 9-2 to Soquel last Thursday.

Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Santa Cruz, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Harbor's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Santa Cruz hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for Harbor, though, as they've only averaged .190. Will they be able to contain Santa Cruz's hitters?

Santa Cruz took their victory against Harbor when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
