Recap: Mercy Culture Prep Royals vs. Lubbock Christian Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Mercy Culture Prep Royals can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 55-14 loss at the hands of Lubbock Christian. Mercy Culture Prep has not had much luck with Lubbock Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
John Raybuck and Josh Marshall certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Raybuck rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, while Marshall posted 60 receiving yards and and a score through the air. Marshall was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.
Mercy Culture Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Lubbock Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Mercy Culture Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lubbock Christian will take on Brazos Christian at TBD on Saturday. Brazos Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
