Bishop Gorman extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Chloe Lopez. The Gaels blew past the Shadow Ridge Mustangs 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Lopez, who had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Gorman took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-7, 25-13.

Bishop Gorman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trinity Thompson, who had ten digs, two aces, and one block. What's more, Thompson also posted a 75% hitting percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in October of 2024.

Bishop Gorman's record now sits at 8-4. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Gorman will venture away from home to challenge Faith Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will head out to take on Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
