Soccer Recap: Sonora's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Hughson last Wednesday, Sonora came back down to earth. The Sonora Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ripon Indians on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Sonora's goal came courtesy of Addison Kraft, who's now up to eight this season.

Sonora's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2-1. As for Ripon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

Sonora will be playing in front of their home fans against Ripon Christian at 5:45 p.m. on January 17th. As for Ripon, they will challenge Escalon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ripon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
