Baseball Recap: Calaveras Has No Trouble Against Riverbank

Calaveras lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Riverbank, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. Calaveras was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Riverbank on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Red Hawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Cohen Curran, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Calaveras' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Joey Sweet, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
