Soccer Game Preview: Medina Valley vs. South San Antonio

The Medina Valley Panthers will kick their season off against the South San Antonio Bobcats on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled at 9:00 a.m.

South San Antonio can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They lost 7-0 to San Antonio Memorial. The Bobcats have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

South San Antonio's loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Medina Valley, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (17-5-6), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

Medina Valley took their win against South San Antonio in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1. In that contest, Medina Valley amassed a halftime lead of 8-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
