Football Recap: Evans Skates Past Lake Howell with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evans). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Lake Howell Silverhawks 47-7. With the Trojans ahead 27-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for Li'Darious Pryor, who rushed for 87 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Michael Stinson, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Evans was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Evans' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.3 points on average over those games. As for Lake Howell, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Evans and Wekiva will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Trojans will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lake Howell, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-6 victory against Lyman on the 3rd.
