Baseball Game Preview: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Burges Mustangs

Bel Air is 0-3 against Burges since March of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Bel Air Highlanders will square off against the Burges Mustangs at 11:30 a.m.

Friday just wasn't the day for Bel Air's offense. They lost 9-0 to Da Vinci on Friday. The Highlanders just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Bel Air saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Ponce, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Burges hadn't done well against Hanks recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Burges skirted past Hanks 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Ivan Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Bel Air's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Burges, their record is now 4-6-2.
