Basketball Recap: Idea Comes Up Short

Idea was the 49-46 winner over Digital Pioneers Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Idea Timberwolves took a hard 59-43 fall against the Digital Pioneers Academy Pythons on Friday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Digital Pioneers Academy found their leader in sophomore Imran Buttt, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amarii Bondale, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Idea's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Idea wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-48 loss against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep on the 21st. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-3 win against Maya Angelou Public Charter on the 21st.
