Baseball Recap: Weslaco East Wildcats vs. Lopez Lobos

After flying high against Donna last Friday, Weslaco East came back down to earth. The Weslaco East Wildcats fell just short of the Lopez Lobos by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. Weslaco East has not had much luck with Lopez recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Eduardo Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Weslaco East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Solis, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.

On Lopez's side, Hector Arellano was a major factor no matter where he played.
