Basketball Recap: Amarillo HomeSchool F Takes a Loss

Amarillo HomeSchool F was the 57-41 winner over Amarillo Collegiate Academy when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Amarillo HomeSchool F Flames fell to the Amarillo Collegiate Academy Eagles 48-44. The Flames were up 40-26 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Stollings led the charge by going 5 of 10 en route to 15 points along with six boards and four steals. The contest was Stollings' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Holly, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Amarillo HomeSchool F's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Amarillo HomeSchool F will take on Panhandle Christian Home Educators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against West Texas T at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
