Softball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral couldn't beat Murrieta Valley on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Pumas lost 17-5 to the Nighthawks. The Pumas have struggled against the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Chaparral saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J Wear, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. Keira Beierly was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Chaparral's record is now 4-17. As for Murrieta Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.

While Chaparral had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
