Softball Recap: North Pole Falls Short Against Ranked West Valley

North Pole faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Wolf Pack, falling 18-3. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolf Pack from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

North Pole saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiah Weimer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Fiene Boeger also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

North Pole's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, North Pole will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Hutchison at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Valley, they will face off against Monroe Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
