After flying high against Shelley last Saturday, Century came back down to earth. The Century Diamondbacks lost 10-3 to the Preston Indians on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Century of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Elias Blackhawk made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
On Preston's side, Eli Hammons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.
