Baseball Recap: Midland Park Gets the Win

Midland Park made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Dwight-Englewood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Kuhnel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Conor Shortway, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Midland Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Midland Park's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Dwight-Englewood, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Midland Park will head out to square off against NV - Demarest on Saturday. As for Dwight-Englewood, they will be playing at home against Ridgefield Memorial at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
