Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Quakers vs. Garfield Bulldogs

Franklin is 0-9 against Garfield since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Franklin Quakers will head out to take on the Garfield Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Garfield likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Franklin was able to grind out a solid victory over Seattle Academy, taking the game 76-63.

Meanwhile, Garfield came up short against O'Dea on Monday and fell 70-57.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Garfield, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Franklin took a serious blow against Garfield in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 105-51. Can Franklin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
