Basketball Recap: Waldron Mohawks vs. Tri Titans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Decatur, Waldron was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Tri Titans by a score of 51-40. The win continues a trend for the Mohawks in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won four in a row.

Waldron found their leader in sophomore Eli Stewart, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven boards and six blocks. Stewart has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caige Sheaffer, who shot 67% from the field en route to 16 points.
Waldron was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 8-1 when they've passed the ball that well.
Tri's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braiden Jackson, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jonah Cox, who posted seven points and five steals.
Waldron's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Tri, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.
Waldron has already played their next game, a 52-24 win against Mooresville Christian on the 10th. As for Tri, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-28 victory against Edinburgh on the 12th.
