Volleyball Recap: St. Pius X Has No Trouble Against Miller Career Academy

The St. Pius X Lancers made easy work of Miller Career Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Pius X was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-4, 25-8.

Elena Ruble was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had six aces and three digs. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 67 games she's played dating back to last season. Megan Hermann also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Pius X was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

St. Pius X's record is now 22-5. As for Miller Career Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, St. Pius X will square off against Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Miller Career Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
