Volleyball Recap: Burlington-Edison's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Burlington-Edison had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sehome Mariners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Mikala Shaw paced Burlington-Edison's offense, picking up three kills. Shaw got some help from Reese Tyler and her nine assists. Shaw was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Burlington-Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sehome, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Burlington-Edison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lakewood on the 11th. As for Sehome, they will challenge Lynden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
