Softball Recap: Lehi Pioneers vs. Lone Peak Knights

Lehi can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lone Peak Knights with a sharp 16-8 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Lehi.

Emerson Fuller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Fuller has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Fuller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Lehi got a massive performance out of Brynlee Cook, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Sophie Bliss, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5.

On Lone Peak's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clara Gourley, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Nelson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lehi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season. As for Lone Peak, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Lehi will head out on the road to square off against Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Lehi is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Lone Peak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
