Kentwood has gone 6-1 against Kentridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Conquerors will look to defend their home field against the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kentwood has four straight wins, Kentridge has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kentwood took a 28-point defeat the last time they faced off against Tahoma, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Conquerors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bears 27-24.

Darian Williams was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 74 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Marquise Jones, who rushed for 143 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kentwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Kentridge played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-6 loss at the hands of Kennedy Catholic. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Kentwood's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kentridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Kentwood against Kentridge when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. Do the Conquerors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
