Volleyball Recap: Strasburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Strasburg extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-6. They fell 3-1 to the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firebirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Laci Zimmerman paced Strasburg's offense, picking up 15 kills. Zimmerman got some help from Camryn Forbis and her 26 assists. Zimmerman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

As for Windsor Charter Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-4 Weld Central and 3-6 Strasburg.

Windsor Charter Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma George, who had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most digs George has posted over her last four contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Ward, who had seven digs and two aces.

Strasburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Weld Central on the 23rd. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Brush on the 23rd.
