Soccer Game Preview: Montrose vs. Riverdale Ridge

The Montrose Red Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Montrose is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Montrose beat Crested Butte 3-1.

The Red Hawks hit the Titans with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Liliana Almanza, Jordyn Dew, and Ellie Duncan.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Riverdale Ridge was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor.

Montrose's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Riverdale Ridge, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3-1.

Montrose beat Riverdale Ridge by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, winning 2-1. Will the Red Hawks repeat their success, or do the Ravens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
