Soccer Recap: Bayside Falls Short of East River in the Playoffs

Bayside and East River squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bayside had to settle for second. They fell just short of the East River Falcons by a score of 1-0.

Bayside's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8-1. As for East River, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11-1.

Bayside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East River, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the East River challenge the Viera at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East River's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
