Football Game Preview: Boone Braves vs. Edgewater Eagles + How To Watch

Boone is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Edgewater is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Braves will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Boone's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Freedom 63-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Braves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Patriots are ranked 416th).

Boone didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaulen Liberty and Lagarion Wilson. Wilson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Edgewater's offense rose to the challenge against a Panthers defense that boasted an average of only 14.38 points allowed last Friday. The Eagles took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over Dr. Phillips. The Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Boone better keep an eye on Damian Moore. He was instrumental in Edgewater's win, rushing for 123 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Moore's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.

Edgewater's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Mike McClenton and Aiden Anderson, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. McClenton was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (5.5 for loss).

Boone's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Edgewater, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-0.
