Volleyball Recap: Irvington Victorious

Irvington took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Liberty, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lions 2-1. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Irvington's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Liberty, they moved to 16-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Irvington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against El Cerrito on the 12th. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Galileo on the 12th.
