Baseball Game Preview: Thomasville Bulldogs vs. Wheatmore Warriors

The Thomasville Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Wheatmore Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thomasville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Thomasville was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over South Davidson. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Elijah McNeair was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luis Bejarano Sosa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Wheatmore had taken Eastern Randolph down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6.

Wheatmore's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Thomasville, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Thomasville suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Wheatmore in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
