Soccer Game Preview: Radford vs. Glenvar

Radford is 1-9 against Glenvar since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bobcats will head out to square off against the Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Radford faced off against Patrick County on Wednesday. The Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 5-4. Radford haven't had any issues with Patrick County recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Glenvar waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Spartans an 8-0 shutout. Give Glenvar's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Giles from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Camryn Stevens led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Radford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Glenvar, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Radford might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Glenvar in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
