Baseball Recap: Wausau East Comes Up Short

Wausau East suffered their closest defeat since May 2nd on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Marshfield Tigers by a score of 4-2. The Lumberjacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Wausau East's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Marshfield, they moved to 9-18 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Wausau East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
