Recap: Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors vs. Friendship Christian Spartans

Even though the Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors have not done well against the Friendship Christian Spartans recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Old Suwanee Christian walked away with a 69-56 win over Friendship Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Old Suwanee Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Courtney, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The match was Courtney's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jon Rojas, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Old Suwanee Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Friendship Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
