Soccer Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep vs. Mother McAuley

The Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack are taking a road trip to face off against the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Saint Ignatius College Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

While Saint Ignatius College Prep's win against Fenwick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolfpack skirted past the Friars 1-0. The game was the first time Saint Ignatius College Prep have beaten Fenwick on their pitch since May 7, 2019.

Meanwhile, Mother McAuley didn't have quite enough to beat St. Laurence on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mother McAuley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season.

Saint Ignatius College Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Mother McAuley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
