Softball Recap: Adirondack Beats Waterville for Their Fifth Straight Win

Adirondack had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Waterville on Monday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Allison Croniser made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Emma Weiler was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Skyler Green, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Adirondack kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Adirondack's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Waterville, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Adirondack beat the Indians by a score of 2-1 later that day.
