Basketball Recap: Burroughs Takes a Loss

Burroughs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 78-63 fall against the Hesperia Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Burros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 979th, while the Scorpions are ranked 275th).

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Hesperia, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will face off against Oak Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hesperia, they will take on Apple Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hesperia is facing Apple Valley at the right time seeing as Apple Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
